Nano-Acoustic Devices, Processes, and Materials TC

Nano-Acoustic Devices, Processes, and Materials Technical Committee (TC 15)

Scope and Mission:

This committee is dedicated to the emerging and interdisciplinary frontier of nanoscale acoustics, promoting scientific discoveries and engineering developments in materials, design, fabrication, and device applications. The committee is particularly concerned with acoustic nanotechnologies that address:

  1. Device applications such as mobile and/or autonomous devices, biomedical imaging devices, biomedical therapy devices, implantable and embedded devices, wearable and surface mountable devices.
  2. Advanced acoustic sensing and measurement approaches that permit unprecedented understanding of phenomena on the nanoscale.
  3. Development of new materials for application to nanoscale acoustic devices and processes.
