Lan Fu received her PhD degree from the Australia National University (ANU) in 2001 and is currently a Full Professor at the Research School of Physics, ANU. Prof. Lan Fu was the recipient of the IEEE Photonic Society Graduate Student Fellowship (2000), Australian Research Council (ARC) Postdoctoral Fellowship (2002), ARF/QEII Fellowship (2005) and Future Fellowship (2012). Professor Fu is a senior member of IEEE, IEEE/Photonics and Electron Devices Societies and was the past chair of the Photonics Society, Electron Devices Society and Nanotechnology Council Chapters of the IEEE ACT section. She is also the current member of the Australian Academy of Science National Committee on Materials Science and Engineering, Secretary of the Executive Committee of Australian Materials Research Society (AMRS), and Australian Research Council College of Experts. Lan Fu's main research interests include design, fabrication and integration of optoelectronic devices (LEDs, lasers, photodetectors and solar cells) based on low-dimensional III-V compound semiconductor structures including quantum wells, self-assembled quantum dots and nanowires grown by metal-organic chemical vapour deposition (MOCVD).

Dr. Bhatia is a world-renowned Materials Scientist with over 20 years of experience in academia and industry. She works as Chief Scientist at Gaea Nanolabs, where she's working on synthesis of nano-proteins in collaboration with the Molecular Foundry, a Nanoscience facility at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at San Jose State University. Before joining Gaea Nanolabs, Dr. Bhatia was a professor at Amity Institute of Renewable and Alternative Energy at Amity University, India, where she established a program in advanced materials research for chemical, gas and bio sensors including nanomaterials, semiconducting polymers and materials for alternative energy. She earned her Doctoral degree from Texas A & M University in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Masters in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. She has worked as a research scientist at Stellar Micro Devices in Austin, Texas; as visiting faculty at IIT Kanpur and as a research associate at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in Bangalore, India. Dr. Bhatia has been actively involved with the IEEE San Francisco Bay Area Nanotechnology Chapter for last several years, where she has been serving as the Chair since 2019. Under her leadership, the chapter was awarded the Best Chapter by IEEE Nanotechnology Council in 2019.

Attila Bonyár is an associate professor at the Department of Electronics Technology at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He has two M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering and a Ph.D in electrical engineering. His research activities are focused on the development of optical and electrochemical, affinity type biosensors, utilizing low-dimensional nanomaterials, plasmonics and nanometrology (AFM). He is a Steering Committee member of the IEEE-SIITME conference series since 2014 and the IEEE-ISSE conference series since 2017. Since 2019 he is the chair of the IEEE Hu&Ro EPS&NTC joint chapter. Since 2020 he is a member of IEEE NTC Nanopackaging Technical Committee.

Murilo A. Romero was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1965. He received the electrical engineering and the M.S. degrees in 1988 and 1991, both from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 1995, he received the Ph.D. degree from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA. After his return to Brazil in 1995, he joined the University of Sao Paulo, at Sao Carlos, as a faculty member. At the University of Sao Paulo (USP), the largest and best ranked Brazilian university, he became an Associate Professor in 2001 and a Full Professor in 2008. He was then Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at EESC-USP (from 2009-2013) and has also served as chair of the Electrical and Biomedical Engineering Committee of the Brazilian Research Council (CNPq, from 2011-2013). More recently, from 2014-2018, he was the Head of the Electrical Engineering area at CAPES, an agency of the Brazilian government, established to regulate and carry out quality control of graduate studies in Brazil (a process similar to the British REF or the Italian VQR). His research interests span over a large variety of topics in semiconductor devices, optical communications and microwave-photonics. Samples of his research work can be found in more than 50 journal papers, including manuscripts at IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, IEEE/OSA Journal of Lightwave Technology, IEEE Sensors and IEEE Access, among others in top-ranked journals by other publishers. He has served as editor in chief of the Scopus indexed Journal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetics Applications, as well as served in a variety of international conference TPCs. He is now Associate Editor for Terahertz and Microwave Photonics for the newly launched journal Frontiers in Photonics.

Professor Li Tao obtained bachelor's degree from Southeast University in 2004, and received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2010. Then, he entered the University of Texas at Austin Microelectronics Research Center for post-doctoral research and was promoted to research scientist in 2012. He joined Southeast University as a professor of Materials Science and Engineering in 2016. Prof. Tao's research interests include nanofabrication, two-dimensional semiconductor materials and devices, and the cross-application of micro-systems and nanotechnology in healthcare and IoTs. He has over 50 publications, including first/corresponding author Nature Nanotechnology (citations>1000), Chemical Society Reviews, IEEE TAP, Infomat etc. He serves as associate editors for Research (the first Science Partner Journal) and MicroElectronics Engineering. Prof. Tao has delivered more than 15 invited talks in IEEE, MRS, APS and other conferences, and served as the conference general chair for IEEE NMDC 2020&2022. He is a senior member of IEEE.
