Dr. Bing Sheu obtained B.S. degree in EE from National Taiwan University, and Ph.D. degree in EE from University of California, Berkeley. He joined EE faculty at University of Southern California during 1985 – 1998, and was promoted to Full Professor in 1997. During 1999 – 2006, he served as R&D Director at electronic design automation company, Synopsys Corporation. He served as R&D Director at TSMC during 2006 – 2015. Since 2016, he serves as Chair Professor in Electronics Engineering Department and in Information Management Department at Chang Gung University. He is Campus Ambassador for TSIA (Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association) during 2016 – 2019. He is an IEEE Fellow in 1996, Senior Fulbright Scholar from U.S. Information Agency in 1998. His research interests include nanoelectronic devices and systems, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. Dr. Sheu has prior experience in serving on Editorial Boards of IEEE, being Associate Editor, Guest Editor, Editor-in-Chief, or Senior Editor for various Transactions/Journals, as well as Magazine Editor for IEEE Circuits and Devices Magazine.

 

Prof. Xiaoning Jiang, North Carolina State University

Adjunct Professor of Biomedical Engineering at North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Jiang received his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University (1997) and his Postdoctoral training from the Pennsylvania State University (1997-2001). He was the Chief Scientist and Vice President for TRS Technologies, Inc. prior to joining NC State in 2009. Dr. Jiang is the author and co-author of two books, 5 book chapters, 9 issued US Patents, over 120 peer reviewed journal papers and over 100 conference papers on piezoelectric ultrasound transducers, ultrasound for medical imaging and therapy, drug delivery, ultrasound NDT/NDE, smart materials and structures and M/NEMS. Dr. Jiang is a member of the technical program committee for a few international conferences including IEEE NANO,  IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium (TPC-5), IEEE NMDC, SPIE Smart Structures and NDE, and ASME IMECE. He serves as the NanoAcoustics Technical Committee Chair for IEEE NTC, IEEE NTC Distinguished Lecturer (2018 and 2019), an editorial board member for the journal Sensors, a Senior Associate Editor for the ASME Journal of Engineering and Science in Medical Diagnostics and Therapy and a Co-Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine (2020-2021). Dr. Jiang is an ASME Fellow.

Prof. Sorin Cotofana, Delft University of Technology

Sorin D. Cotofana received the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, Romania, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science Faculty, Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands. His current research is focussed on: (i) the design and implementation of dependable/reliable systems out of unpredictable/unreliable components; (ii) aging assessment/prediction and lifetime reliability aware resource management; and (iii) unconventional computation paradigms and computation with emerging nano-devices.
He (co-)authored 38 journal, 191 international conference, and 38 local conferences/workshops papers; received 12 international conferences best paper awards, e.g., 2012 IEEE Conference on Nanotechnology, 2012 ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Nanoscale Architectures, 2005 IEEE Conference on Nanotechnology, 2001 International Conference on Computer Design; served as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on CAS I (2009-2011), IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology (2008-2014), and Nano Communication Networks (2010-2014) and Senior Editor for IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology (2014-2015); have been involved in the organization of many international conferences. He is a Past-Chair of the Giga-Nano IEEE Circuits and System Society (CASS) Technical Committee, IEEE Nano Council CASS representative, and HiPEAC member.

 

Prof. Chengkuo (Vincent) Lee, National University of Singapore (NUS)
Director of Center for Intelligent Sensors and MEMS
Associate Professor for the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering

Prof Lee received the Ph.D in Precision Engineering from The University of Tokyo, Japan (1996).  He is Director of the Centre for Intelligent Sensors and MEMS and Associate Professor of ECE at National Univ. of Singapore. His work focuses on technologies with wide variety of applications in the field of MEMS and NEMS, Photonics, THz MEMS, Energy harvesters, Microfluidics and Biomedical MEMS and NEMS sensors. Prof. Lee has over 300 peer-reviewed journal publications, more than 35 US and Taiwan patents and over 9,700 citations (Google Scholar data), h-index 50 and i-10 index 239. He has held several editor roles, including Associate editor, IEEE Journal of Microelectomechanical Systems (JMEMS).
