Prof. Wen Li
 has succeeded Prof. Ari Requicha to serve as the president of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council effective January 1, 2016.

 

Since the previous Newsletter, many exciting NTC news and events have been announced, planned or taken place. For example, former president of NTC, Prof. Jagadish received Australia’s highest civilian honour, AC, Companion of Order of Australia 2016; New EIC, Prof. Jin-Woo Kim for ENANO has succeeded the founding EIC, Prof. Wolfgang Porod to further develop the new journal; IEEE NTC Facebook is now open and inviting NTC members to join and contribute by posting rich contents relevant to nanotechnology; NTC’s 2016 Distinguished Lecturers have been appointed and ready to deliver lectures in conferences, workshops, and technical activities of NTC chapters; 2016 IEEE Nanotechnology Conference, IEEE Nano Materials and Devices Conference, NTC Summer School, and several NTC co-sponsored conferences have been well planned and inviting paper submission.
