The International Workshop on Smart Materials and Devices (IWSMD 2026) is a premier academic event Hosted by the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town. Taking place on 7–8 December 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, Under the auspices of IEEE NTC Chapter (South Africa Section).
IWSMD 2026 provides a dedicated forum for presenting cutting-edge research, sharing innovative ideas, and fostering collaborative discussions on the latest developments in smart materials and their diverse applications across multiple disciplines. Our Mission is to advance the field of smart materials and devices by fostering international collaboration, facilitating knowledge exchange, and promoting innovation among academia, industry, and emerging researchers.
