IEEE NMDC 2025 – Call for Tutorials

Call for Tutorials –
Virtual IEEE NMDC 2025
October 9-11, 2025

http://2025.ieeenmdc.org/

The IEEE Nanotechnology Materials and Devices Conference (NMDC) is a flagship event of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council (NTC) and a premier international forum for researchers working on the fabrication, characterization, design, and application of nanomaterials and devices. The conference features technical sessions, live demonstrations, and high-quality publications.

NMDC 2025 will be held virtually, expanding global accessibility while showcasing innovative nanotechnology solutions to today’s societal and industrial challenges.

We invite tutorial proposals from experts across academia, industry, and research institutions. This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise, connect with a global audience, and contribute to professional development in the nanotechnology community.

Why Offer a Tutorial at NMDC 2025?

  • Share your knowledge to an international audience
  • Shape and inspire the next generation of researchers and practitioners
  • Gain visibility and recognition within the IEEE nanotechnology community
  • Eligible tutorials may be invited to publish an overview paper in IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, or the IEEE Open Journal of Nanotechnology

Suggested Topics

We welcome tutorial proposals on a broad range of topics, from emerging research frontiers to established techniques with strong practical or industrial relevance. Topics should fall within the scope of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council and align with NMDC’s core themes: see https://2025.ieeenmdc.org/call-for-papers/.

Tutorial Submission Guidelines

Your proposal should include:

  1. Tutorial Format
Indicate whether the tutorial will be a Half-day or Full-day session.
  2. Title & Abstract
Provide a clear, concise title and an abstract that conveys the tutorial’s focus and value to potential attendees.
  3. Motivation & Learning Objectives
Explain why the topic is important to the IEEE NTC community and what attendees will learn. Include a syllabus and learning outcomes appropriate to the tutorial duration.
  4. Speakers
    • List of presenters and their affiliations.
    • You may include multiple speakers (up to 2 for half-day, up to 4 for full-day).
    • Specify which sections each speaker will cover.
  5. Structure & Delivery Plan
Describe how the session time will be used (e.g., morning lecture, afternoon case studies, Q&A, panel discussion, etc.).
  6. Biographies
Include a one-page bio for each speaker, emphasizing expertise and prior experience in the proposed subject.
